In late 2022, Gisborne Golf Club engaged CV Sheds to design a sheltered Driving Range structure that would provide members with protection from the elements, along with an enclosed Pro Golf teaching studio.
This landmark addition to the Gisborne Golf Club had to meet several unique design considerations including…
- Aligning the structure’s shape and new concrete slab to the angle of the existing front slab footprint
- Creating a clear, unobstructed frontage to provide members ample clear space to tee off
- Incorporating a fully enclosed bay complete with Roller Door and separate pedestrian access door to accommodate space for the Pro Golf Teaching Studio
- Designing and installing custom flashings for roof purlins to prevent birds nesting and roosting
- Delivering a visually appealing structure engineered to withstand strong winds
The Driving Range has become an integral asset to the Gisborne Golf Club, enhancing both functionality and member experience, while adding enduring value to the club.
